E2KDisplay

E2K Display is a software component that can be used to easily display slides, videos and scrolling marquees. At the moment of the payment, the flow of images is stopped and the details of the selling are displayed: article descriptions, prices, total and change.
Data exchange can be performed in different ways (files, DDE, named pipes), thus making integration with existing systems very flexible. E2K Display is licensed on a per-computer basis, using an unlock code that depends on the hardware used.

Available functions

E2K Display can visualize a flow of informative slides and videos as well as reporting payment details directly from your system.

There are several advantages in using this module:

  • elegance: when using a double-screen POS, the ECR display (which is usually not very nice) can be hidden;
  • advertising: slides and videos can advertise your products or inform about promotions; the screen that appears at payment time can include a different set of images to display;
  • security: the details of the products sold are fully displayed on video, allowing the customer to check what is buying, thus diminishing the chances of disputes.
E2K Display automatically resizes pictures and videos to screen resolution; the monitor used can be a secondary display of the same computer that runs counter sales software or another PC in the same network. The files to be displayed can be easily added, removed or replaced while the program is running; all common formats are supported: BMP, PNG, GIF, JPG, TIFF, AVI, MP4, MKV. The requests can be sent in different ways; classic file sharing ease integration with systems on different platforms (Unix, AS/400), while DDE and Named Pipes allow an advanced and efficient dialogue on Windows systems. E2K Display is certified for usage together with E2K Suite and E2K Retail systems.
